Corporate Project Engagement

At St. Gabriel's we are delighted to already have partnered with a number of local and national businesses and corporations who have shown their support in a variety of different ways through employee volunteering days, donations of essential medical, therapy and IT equipment and financial donations. Their involvement with us has allowed for the completion of a number of very worthwhile projects that are all aimed to help improve the quality of life of children with multiple physical disabilities and their families.

Developement of a new Hydrotherapy Pool

In 2009, St. Gabriel's opened a new Hydrotherapy pool located in St. Gabriel's Centre in Dooradoyle. The development of this project was reliant on donations and fundraising activities that were carried out in aid of St. Gabriel's Hydrotherapy Pool.

The pool has high running and maintenance costs which require constant funding through donations and ongoing fundraising activities. A yearly cost of €150,000 runs and maintains the Hydrotherapy pool and while a small portion of income is generated from people paying to use the pool we still need YOUR help!

Refurbishment of the Nursing Department

Often overlooked at St. Gabriel's is the medical department and team that work tirelessle to provide support and treatment to the children attending the School. Through corporate partnership, the nursing department's clinical room got a much-needed refurbishment in 2014 funded by GECAS.

Installation of new IT Equipment

St. Gabriel's School has recently seen the fitting of new IT equipment like computers and interactive whiteboards to assist the children who attend the school. The installation of this new equipment was made possible by our partnership with DELL Solution Centre. Their support will allow for teachers to make learning more interactive for the 58 children with multiple physical disabilities and complex medical needs attending St. Gabriel's School.

We are delighted to be in partnership with a number of other companies:
