Welcome
St.Gabriel’s School & Centre is dedicated to the care and education of children with multiple physical disabilities.
St.Gabriel’s School & Centre is situated in Dooradoyle on the south side of Limerick city. It is a non-denominational organisation and a registered charity (Charity Number 5548). From its humble beginnings over fifty years ago it has developed into what is today a modern, highly regarded, first choice disability organisation serving children and their families from across the mid west region.
The St.Gabriel’s complex accommodates a special needs school, an outpatient therapy centre, a clinic of the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) a newly built hydrotherapy pool and a regional orthotics service (ROS). This is a long way from what was the original Limerick Children’s Handicapped Association premises set up in St.Joseph’s Street in the early 1960’s by the Crabtree family to provide care for children with disabilities.
